Chicago

After 9 hours of driving yesterday, we made it to our goal for day 2: Chitown. We were warned to avoid Chicago this time of the year but couldn't pass up the chance to see our good friend Jess who recently moved here. Jess has a French bulldog named Mona (Moo Moo) who recently became paralyzed from waist down (do dogs have waists?). She went from walking fine one August morning to going into emergency surgery for a ruptured disc that same afternoon. Her and Jess have adjusted to her new disability really well. Mona can move around the house fine by pulling herself with her front legs. When they go outside, Mona has a wheelchair that helps support her back-end. It's really incredible how mobile she is. We will try to post a video later today. Until then here are a few photos to enjoy.
